One-Day Show & Sale hosted
by the Red Deer Art Club
Sunday, April 19, 2009, 12-5 pm
at the Red Deer Recreation Centre
Short but sweet, other activities too!

The ACACA Central Zone Show
is held in Olds this year at the
Olds & District Evergreen Ctr.
May 2-3, 2009
Well worth the drive!
Provincial show (dates TBA) will
be held at Parkland Mall this year.

P'Artisan Artist Group presents
"Energy Flows" to be held at the
Kerrywood Nature Centre
May 14- July 12, 2009

The Gallery on Main in Lacombe
is having its annual spring show
May 21-24, 2009.
Many artists with all new works.
Friday and Saturday evening
wine and cheese, demos as well.
My pieces will all contain "people"
in them. Interesting and new!

The Annual Artwalk is always
the third Saturday in June out
in the park between the farmer's
market and the Recreation Centre.
June 20, 2009, 9-5 pm.
I'm sharing a booth this year
with Sherry Larose. Come on by!

Summer always has artsy stuff
happening. "First Fridays" features
ongoing gallery events around town.

I'm supposed to have a solo show at
the Museum hopefully this year.
"Rocks of Ages" is the theme.
Will let you know when that happens!

The Gallery on Main in Lacombe
always has a fall show in October, again
new works to go in. I think mine will
all contain "trees" of some sort. I've got
quite a few new ones not shown yet.

I'M TEACHING A WORKSHOP

FOR THE RED DEER ART CLUB:

Saturday, May 30, 2009, 10-4 pm at

Superstore (room inside on the left).

We'll be doing watercolors (similar to the

two above), and/or acrylic (easy trees)

on paper, all 7.5 x 7.5". (Cut mats/backs

in "crystal clear" bags to fit will be

available for purchase, $15 ea).

Bring acrylic/watercolor/cut paper, etc.

and a bag lunch. $30 for full day. I'll have

some acrylics available to share.
